The Organization of the Wayside Skeet Club
Trustees, Officers and Committees
The Wayside Skeet Club is governed hierarchically as described below.
Limited only by the Bylaws, the Full Membership when sitting "in convention" has final approval over all operations of the Wayside Skeet Club and may direct specific actions of the Board of Directors. The Full Membership, annually in November, elects the Trustees (to staggered two-year terms terms effective on the day of election) and the Officers (to one-year terms commencing on the following January 1st). The elected President appoints Committee Chairs.
The Board of Directors...comprised of officers and trustees, will meet from time to time, typically quarterly. Members may attend those meetings and may submit agenda requests but may not vote. Anyone wishing to have an item placed on the agenda should contact the President in advance.
NOTE: Trustees may concurrently be elected to an Office but any one person may cast only one vote at a Board of Director's Meeting. Currently the Board of Directors is made up of twelve members...six (50%) being a quorum.President: Jim Curley thru December 2011

The EXECUTIVE Committee includes the President, all Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer. It may act on an interim basis between meetings of the Board of Directors. Chaired by the Club President, the Executive Committee oversees the operations and actions of the club's appointed committees and subcommittees.
It is not a requirement for membership, but we welcome members to join our committees. WSC Members interested in serving on ANY of these committees are encouraged to express their desires directly to individual committee chairs or to the President.
HOUSE Committee - The House Committee manages the operation of our clubhouse including cleaning, equipment and supplies - The 2011 chairman is Steve Weintraub.

Housecleaning - Sub-chair Greg Khalaf @ $50.00 per cleaning
GROUNDS Committee - The Grounds Committee manages our grounds including road maintenance lawn, snow removal, brush control etc and building structures. The 2011 chairman is Paul Berkowitz.
TRAP MAINTANENCE Committee - The Trap Committee manages the maintenance of our trap machines.. The 2011 chairman is Tom Giblon.
SAFETY Committee - The Safety Committee controls safety policy, new member orientation and safety instruction the adjudication of safety violations if any. The 2011 chairman is Steve Weintraub.
RANGE OFFICER Committee -The Range Officer Committee enforces club policy for day-to-day operations and includes a team of acting range officers who rotate responsibility for managing each open day's shooting session. The 2011 chairman is Bernie Willis. If you sign up to open the club, you are expected to fulfill that responsibility OR find another qualified Range Officer to open the club in your absence.

Registered Shoots - The Registered Shoot Committee handles our club's regularly occurring on-site hosting of NJ Skeet Shooting Association competitive shoots. The 2010 chairman is Lew Petryk.

SUNSHINE Committee - Responsibility includes Neighbor Relations and recognizing Bereavements and Sicknesses - If anyone knows of a member in distress, please notify John or any officer of WSC. - Chair _________________Vacant

MEMBERSHIP Committee - The Membership Committee oversees new member's applications, annual membership renewals, dues collection, and record keeping. The 2011 chairman is, Bill Walton (e-mail WaysideSKEETClub <AT> aol.com).
